Ingredients

Thanksgiving Margarita
  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz orange liqueur
  • 1.5 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz apple cider
  • 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz maple syrup
  • 1 Ice
  • 1 Cinnamon sugar for the rim
  • 1 Fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig for garnish

Method

Rim and build the glass
  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a glass, then dip the rim in cinnamon sugar so it fully coats and looks evenly speckled.
  2. Fill the glass with ice until it’s well packed for a cold serve.
Shake and serve
  1. In a cocktail shaker, shake blanco tequila, orange liqueur, cranberry juice, apple cider, fresh lime juice, and maple syrup with ice for 15 seconds.
  2. Strain the drink into the prepared, iced glass so the cranberry color stays clear and ruby.
  3. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig, then serve immediately.

Notes

For the neatest rim, make sure the rim is slightly wet from the lime wedge before dipping into cinnamon sugar. Refrigerate any leftover mixture (before garnishing) for up to 24 hours, but the drink is best fresh; freezing is not recommended. If you want a lighter option, swap maple syrup for 1/2 oz honey syrup or a maple-flavored zero-sugar syrup and shake as directed.
