Ingredients

Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian rolls
Deli turkey or leftover roast turkey
  • 0.75 lb sliced deli turkey or leftover roast turkey
Brie or white cheddar
  • 6 oz brie, sliced, or white cheddar
Whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 0.75 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
Butter
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
Honey
  • 1 tbsp honey
Poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
Dried thyme
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Prep and layer
  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally in one sheet without separating, then place the roll bottoms in the dish.
  3. Spread Dijon mustard on the bottoms, then layer sliced deli turkey (or leftover roast turkey) and add the sliced brie (or white cheddar).
  4. Spread whole berry cranberry sauce on the cut side of the tops and place the tops over the filling.
Glaze and bake
  1. Whisk the melted butter, honey, poppy seeds, and dried thyme, then brush the mixture over the tops.
  2. Cover with foil and bake at 350F for 15 minutes, and look for the rolls to soften and steam through the filling.
  3. Uncover and bake for 5 minutes more until golden on top and the cheese is melted and bubbling at the edges.
Serve
  1. Slice the sliders into individual pieces and serve warm.

Notes

For clean, neat slices, let the sliders rest for 3–5 minutes after baking so the cheese sets slightly. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days in an airtight container; reheat in a 325F oven until warmed through. Freezing is not recommended because the rolls can soften after thawing. For a dietary swap, use a plant-based cheese instead of brie/cheddar and keep the cranberry-Dijon-turkey layers the same.
