Ingredients

Drink
  • 2 oz Aperol
  • 3 oz apple cider, chilled Keep chilled for the best temperature and flavor balance.
  • 3 oz prosecco, chilled Chill before using so it stays crisp and fizzy.
  • 1 oz sparkling water
  • 1 Ice Fill the glass so the spritz stays cold without getting watery fast.
  • 1 1 thin apple slice Use a thin slice for easy garnish and a light aroma.
  • 1 1 cinnamon stick Add as a stir-and-aroma garnish.

Method

Build the spritz
  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice until it’s well packed, creating a cold base for the drink.
  2. Pour in Aperol and apple cider, then pause to let the liquid settle over the ice.
  3. Top with prosecco and sparkling water to bring back carbonation and lift the aroma.
  4. Stir gently once to combine, keeping bubbles visible rather than flattening them.
  5. Garnish with the thin apple slice and cinnamon stick—then serve immediately.

Notes

For the clearest, longest-lasting fizz, use both the apple cider and prosecco chilled and add sparkling water last right before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 1 day, but carbonation will fade, so it’s best fresh. Freezing is not recommended. Dietary swap: for a lower-sugar option, use a dry sparkling cider or unsweetened sparkling apple beverage in place of some or all of the apple cider.
