Ingredients

Grenadine syrup
  • 0.25 cup grenadine syrup Chilled not required; pour slowly for the clean bottom layer.
Chilled lemonade
  • 0.5 cup lemonade, chilled Use straight chilled lemonade for best floating and minimal mixing.
Blue raspberry sports drink or blue raspberry lemonade
  • 0.25 cup blue raspberry sports drink or blue raspberry lemonade, chilled Keep cold so it floats cleanly on top.
Ice cubes
  • 1 ice cubes Fill the glass almost to the top so the layers have room to stack neatly.
Garnish
  • 1 maraschino cherries and striped straws for garnish Add at the end; serve immediately to preserve separation.

Method

Build the layers
  1. Fill a tall clear glass with ice cubes almost to the top.
  2. Pour grenadine syrup slowly over the ice so it sinks to the bottom as the first layer.
  3. Gently pour chilled lemonade over the back of a spoon held just above the ice to create a clean middle layer.
  4. Pour the blue raspberry drink over the spoon in the same way to float it as the top layer.
Garnish and serve
  1. Top with a maraschino cherry and a striped straw, then serve immediately without stirring.

Notes

For the sharpest separation, use lemonade and blue raspberry drinks straight from the fridge and pour slowly over the spoon (aim for a thin stream). Store leftovers in the fridge up to 1 day, but separation will fade after resting; freezing is not recommended. For a lower-sugar option, choose a no-sugar-added lemonade and blue raspberry drink and follow the same layering steps.
